Dear H-France Subscribers:

H-France needs your help.  H-France has worked to make itself a vital resource for scholars of French history and culture, producing hundreds of book reviews and forums and providing a source for information about conferences and scholarly meetings worldwide.

These activities have costs.  The greatest cost is to our many volunteer editors, who offer their time and talents to H-France as a collaborative enterprise.

But there are also real monetary costs:  mailing fees for the book review program, web fees for the web site, and costs as we plan for the future and the ever changing expectations for digital technologies.  And these costs have been growing.

It has been 4 years since H-France has asked for your financial support of its operations.  We work diligently to keep our costs modest so that we do not need to ask frequently for donations.

Beginning today, we are launching a brief fundraising effort to support H-France's continuing and future operations.

We have established an account so that you can easily make a donation with a Visa/Card bleu, Master Card, Discovery, or American Express card.  Please follow the link below and click on the "Donate" button at the bottom of the page:

All donations are tax deductible under U.S. law as H-France is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)3 not-for-profit educational organization.
