"Since the advent of television in 1949, the INA
stores most of France's audiovisual archives in buildings it owns in
Essarts, outside of Paris. It is here that visitors can consult
fifty-seven kilometres of stacks with neatly ordered reels of three
decades of French television, a sizeable part of the small screen's
history in France."
