Archives Nationales Update
 
A great many members of the Society have been concerned about the situation at the Archives nationales. The Executive Committee sent the following letter to the French Minister of Culture, whose response is also reproduced below. The SFHS will continue to follow developments at the AN closely and work with French colleagues who share our interest in assuring that any new location(s) for the AN collections will be easily accessible and permit productive research. We also include a "Report from the Front" by co-president Nancy Green, who has consulted with authorities at the AN.
